Saitama Medical University Care Project
Yoshiyuki Nezu, who is the CEO of One to One Welfare Education Academy as well as a Visiting Professor at Saitama Medical University, has been appointed as Executive Committee Chairman of the newly-founded Saitama Medical University Nursing and Care Technology Project Promotion Committee.
Saitama Medical University has adopted the "care technique that completely eliminates the burden on the lower back", developed by me, based on a fusion of medicine and care, in order to realize an ideal, comprehensive, regional care system. We have established a project that aims to extend the use of this technique throughout the Saitama Medical University Group, as well as within regional medical and care facilities.
"Nezushiki Kaigogijutsu" is now used as a standard care technique by Saitama Medical University, and is being taught to patients leaving hospital. We are also committed to increasing its use in regional facilities.
We have also established an office for the Saitama Medical University Nursing and Care Technology Project Promotion Committee, which aims to spread knowledge of "Nezushiki Kaigogijutsu" not only within Japan but throughout the world, and to increase partnerships and cooperation with countries that have introduced the technique, in order to assist people struggling with care wherever they may be.

We have also standardized and guaranteed the quality of assistive technology used at Saitama Medical University, and compiled information about these standardized assistance techniques in the book "Saitama Medical University's No-Strength Care Techniques Explained in Photos and Videos" The author, Yoshiyuki Nezu, suffered a stroke in his 30s which resulted in left side paralysis, and required level 5 care while undergoing rehabilitation for a period of two years and eight months. He recovered to the point of being able to live a normal day-to-day life once again, but still has some residual paralysis on his left side and no strength in his left hand.
Furthermore, he now has stage 4 terminal cancer, and has lost the strength in his right hand due to a loss of function in the right side muscles of his chest. He is almost unable to walk or lift either of his hands, and has almost no physical strength, but undertook the photography and filming required for this book, which took roughly a month.
The book containing this care technique has become a bible for the medical and care industries, and we believe it will be of great use, and offer hope, to many people who struggle with caregiving.
